EV Bus Fleet Charging

The #1 problem that EV school bus fleets face? POWER

  • Installing charging capacity is a lengthy process, requiring coordination of multiple entities.

  • Upgrading electrical infrastructure (transformers, lines), and potentially building new substations adds substantial costs.

  • Finding adequate space for charging stations, especially in existing depots, can be a major hurdle.

  • Charging multiple buses simultaneously can place a significant demand on the local electrical grid, potentially requiring upgrades to transformers and power lines.

We’ve made the solution simple, fast, and green!

We offer a full line of mobile and fixed power solutions in small, modular units to deliver clean, grid-interactive/grid-independent power for rapid charging of EV bus fleets.

  1. Our Mobile Power Generator (MPG) is an All-In-One Hybrid power system that includes an 80kW Hydrogen Fuel Cell, an 180 kW rapid EV charger, 200 kWh of battery storage, and on-board Hydrogen storage. This flexible towable unit is perfect for on-site or emergency EV charging.

  2. Our EmPower Lite is a stationary Hybrid Hydrogen system that offers up to 160kW of primary or back up power for EV charger installations. The modular units offer easy scalability.

  3. Both systems include Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) that fully charge in off-peak hours when power is the cheapest.

  4. When not using their on-board BESS systems, the Hydrogen Fuel Cells operate as back-up power to ensure that the fleet is always able to plug in.

  5. The Universal Energy Management System included in both systems accommodates V2X operations, enabling the systems to also put power into facilities.

  • Yes. Both the mobile and the stationary systems can operate without any power from the grid. These hybrid hydrogen battery systems use hydrogen as the energy source for the internal hydrogen fuel cells that charge the batteries. But importantly, they can also be grid-interactive and send power back to facilities and the grid when needed.

  • Our Mobile Power Generator is exactly that - mobile! It can be towed by a truck, just as you would tow a diesel generator. Our stationary systems only need a pad site to be operational.

  • It’s hard for us to pick, but here’s our TOP 3:
    1. They ensure that you have power anytime you need it.
    2. They use sustainable energy.
    3. They do not require costly, time-consuming infrastructure upgrades.
